Weight Loss

One of the consistent goals I see as a personal trainer is weight loss. What people do to lose weight always baffles me. The gimmicks and fad diets seem the easiest and fastest way to drop a few pounds but they are not a solution to the problem. People usually lose weight on them and then fall back to their old ways.

Most fad diets find a way to manipulate your caloric intake, put a pretty cover on it, and market it towards you, the consumer.

If weight loss is your goal please bypass all the gimmicks and fads and try this out.

Begin by finding 300 calories in your daily diet that you can eliminate. It doesn't take a dietician to find 300 calories, it can be anything, a snickers bar, bowl of ice cream, dessert, whatever... It will work as long as you consistently cut 300 calories every day.

The next step is exercise. Not insanely intense workouts just enough to burn 200 calories. Do it however you like, in the gym, on the bike, walking, etc...

In a week you will have eliminated 3,500 calories, which is the equivalent of 1 pound.

1 pound a week may seem slow but it adds up quickly.
